Late summer. A time when I sit back and watch as certain parts of my garden starts to putter out for the year. My petunias are starting to give out and it’s getting close to the time to clean out the flower boxes. The boxes didn’t work out so well this year and it’s time to re-think what I used and maybe replace them for next year.
The plus up is I’m seeing a number of humming birds in my garden and around my flowers. I think I’ll get a feeder for them and stick it out to see what I draw to it besides wasps and bees. I read that humming birds have a pretty good memory on where they find food and tend to return again and again until the weather and the seasons force them to migrate.
It will be interesting to see if I can get some shots at them if they keep coming around my place.
