These are the days that try our patience here on what Miss C’ refers to as “The Frozen Tundra“. Just to give you an idea of just how much of this “argh” that I currently have in my back yard …
- The base of the six raised garden beds are 11 inches in height.
- The fencing around them is 16 inches in height.
- Total height is 27 inches.
And you can see that three of them are almost covered and I haven’t even included a photo of the “argh” drift that’s back there as well. So it’s hard to be patience when you know that the icky bad white stuff is falling because it’s still too cold for it to rain. And it’s hard to be patient when you remember that the last warm days were sometime last October.
But I get to do one last thing for this season and that is to once again predict when we will have our “Snow Out Day“; or whenever that icky bad white stuff no longer covers or is on my lawn. No more “argh” falling from the sky after that and the moisture that does fall is rain. So after several scientific observations and checking the star charts and then asking a couple bunnies my prediction this year is April 20, 2019.
That leaves us with 50 days until snow out. Let the final countdown begin.
