It’s cold out there this morning. Not warm. Not balmy. Not tropical. Just plain cold and at an atypical Minnesota January temperature of 1*F (-17C). The Ice Maiden obviously decided that we have been too spoiled and returned to remind us that it is January and this is central Minnesota. At least the fireplace is on and the warmth of it feels great.
She also left us with about 1 1/2″ of new snow overnight and she then smiled and laughed as the snowplow drove by my house … driving by twice that is. But it was no problem. It was a job for my new snowblower and it made quick work of the snow for me. It also made short work of the driveway for the girls next door. They’ll say thanks at some point but I will deny any knowledge of how it got cleared. Maybe it’s just me but I’ve always felt that a true act of charity or a Random Act of Kindness is done without any expectation of receiving thanks otherwise they aren’t true acts.
Anywho, I think it’s a bread baking day with a quick run to the market. This is a good day to just hunker down and stay as warm as possible.
