Random Thoughts for Saturday

Posted on

It’s hard to believe that it’s actually early January here on central Minnesota.  It feels more like mid-November to me since it’s a balmy 43*F (6C) out there right now.  I know it’s not going to last very long but I’ll take this wobble in the earth’s orbit any day of the week right now.

It’s “Twelfth Night” and the Christmas decorations came down today at my place.  Most of them that is.  I’m waiting for my daughter and SIL to get here so he can take the big wreath down that has been hanging out front since November.  I would do it myself but I suspect my oldest would put up a huge fuss because I was up on a ladder.

I’m feeling a little letdown because I go back to work on Monday.  Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to afford to not have to work?

My vacation schedule for the year has been submitted this morning.  I have a target destination in Europe this year if everything works out and I can actually afford to travel.  It also assumes that I won’t end up in the hospital this year as well.  I’m tired of that hospital food anywho.

Which part of Europe would you like to see? Fingers crossed it works out!
6C sounds like a dream… we got covered with snow last night and weather forecast says it’s gonna be -17C (!!!) on Monday…
