Five for Friday

It’s that time of week once again kids where I do battle with me pea brain to see who is actually in charge.  Let’s see …

1. Obviously from the photo you can tell that I moved my herbs inside for the season and upcoming season from hell.  I need to get a bag of soil and replant the thyme that I grew from seeds into a longer box.  This little setup that I have works well until I can put them back outside for warmer weather.  I may as well use up as much rain water from my rain barrel to water them while I can.

2. All I can say is “Wow!” after watching just a part of yesterday’s hearings.  What a friggen mess that we’re in as a nation.  How did we ever get here?  Bipartisanship anywhere you look and division amongst everyone.  Are we revisiting the 60’s??? It makes me want to just sit on a beach and watch the world go to hell in a hen basket.  I think I’ll stream the committee vote to see how things go.

3. It’s a beautiful, crisp 44*F (7C) out there right now.  It made for some excellent walking weather this morning.  It felt great to breathe in the air, watch the geese flying by and forget about the stress going in to the work place causes me.

4. It’s a a fire pit weekend and I’ll do one tomorrow night.  I get one glass of wine per day per doctor’s orders and I’ll have it then.  I found some new stuff that’s actually pretty good.

5. My peonies are pretty much done for this season.  Time to cut them back for the year.  Grass mowing time is almost over too but I made the mistake once before about quitting too early.

Well there ya have it.  Exciting stuff, huh?  Feel free to comment and/or wave a friendly “Howdy!” on your way thru if’n you would like.   🙂
