Summer has reached its zenith here and we start the downhill run now. I know that because the universal sign has come. And that sign is the “Back to School” clothes buying season has started around this neck of the Hundred Acre Wood. I know we reached that because my oldest started buying new school clothes for the gummys yesterday. Ugh! Where has the first half of my summer gone to?
Oh well. We carry on with what we have for right now. It’s cool in the mornings here. There’s a dew on the grass every morning from the humidity in the air. It warms up to where I have to close up the house around 10:00 AM and start the air to pull the humidity out of the air inside the house and cool it off once again.
My thoughts are once again turning to canning and putting p veggies for the upcoming long winter season. My green beans aren’t producing this season like they did last year, so I’ll have to make a run out to the farm stand to get a bushel of beans. I’ll take the gummys with me so they can experience the farm stand. They’ll get a bang out going to it. 🙂
