Thursday Morning

I wish it was as warm outside as the glow from the early morning sunrise made me feel inside my place.  But it’s not.  For now at least one can always hope that we will wake up one morning and warming breezes from a southern wind will be once again filtering north.  In the meanwhile, it was interesting to notice the ice crystals floating in the air as they reflected off of the light from the sunrise.  The moisture in the air had frozen and the crystals danced like micro diamonds floating in the breeze and sparkling in the sunrise.  It was kinda cool.  Maybe it’s just me.

One time, a while back, I was driving across North Dakota… It was a winter morning and the Sun was shining on the snow and I saw, what someone later told me was, a sundog. Have you ever seen sundogs in Minnesota? It looks like a little snow tornado in the Sun.💨☉🐶

    1. yanno, the military made me a bit of a cleaning fanatic. you learn to get that kinda religion when you’re in basic training and it just kinda imprints itself on your brain.

      1. yeh but it can some people nuts to be around people like me. what some people may define as a “lived in” look is a damn mess to me and it needs picked up and things put away.

    1. yeh, I remember those old wooden windows we had in the house that I grew up in. we got some interesting ice patterns on the single pane windows.

  2. I heard on the car radio this A.M. that it’s to get up to 60 degrees here in the next few days. Unheard of, given it’s FEBRUARY… I’ll send some warm air your way, because frankly it’s freaking ME out!

    1. you’re getting those Chinook winds off the Pacific Northwest. we used to get them this time of year all the time when I lived in western South Dakota. enjoy!
