Vacation time goes by way too quickly. There’s still a lot of vacation time left for this week and next but it’s odd to me how I get so focused on one dinner or one event and then I focus on the next a “swoosh” it’s all gone. The girls go home tomorrow afternoon and then I think I’ll work on trying to slow some things down to enjoy my time off from work.
I need to schedule some time with my GP after New Years and I’m sure he will want me to go see the vampires so some tests can be run. It’s time to think about where I want to be by the end of next year.

I think this is the part where you are to write something clever and witty about yourself.
I’m solidly locked in middle age and content with myself. I love to travel to see and experience new things, new foods and new drink.
I also like to cook and bake mainly because I like to eat. And I found out that I’m pretty good at both.
I'm not a professional blogger nor do I want to be. I'll leave that to others while I'll kick back and post whatever suddenly pops into my brain. I'm more spontaneous anyway.
And the rest we’ll just kinda sorta figure out as we go along. Feel free to leave comments or even just to say "Hello".

I’m thinking about where I want to be this time next year, well more appropriately who I want to be. Where I’ll be is definitely Australia. I will no longer be celebrating Christmas at home if I can help it.

No, I wish. I went there 3 years ago for Christmas and New Years. I have family there. And a dear friend in Sydney that I met in Hawaii who I knew for all of 5 days and has become one of my best friends. She lives on the Sydney harbour and 3 years ago we spent a lovely New Years together. This year we will both be alone and made a pact to cook ourselves a nice dinner and drink prosecco and then FaceTime on New Year’s Day. Next year I’ll go there and we’ll do the same thing together 😊

yeh, it’s a work in progress. there’s not too much room left above the fireplace so I have to be a tad mindful what I add.
