  1. LOL!
Our neighbor lady and her husband are “Weeping Baptist Witnesses” so each morning during their prayers (on their back porch) Bobbie Nell weeps and chance Bible verses while her husband, Brother Tucker, praises, prays and preaches VERY loudly… this usually lets everyone in the neighborhood know just how much damage has been done during the night… Bobbie Nell is the best buttermilk biscuit maker in our County… mmmmm biscuits… get ’em while they’re hot ! πŸ‘πŸ‘

      • Once Brother Tucker and Bobbie Nell enter “THE ZONE,” precisely at 6 a.m. every morning, they can’t hear or see anything… It’s what they call being “On The Beam.” Me and the guys usually mow their yard or play in the sprinkler …and put a quarter in the plate during “the service” so that Bobbie Nell can end the service proclaiming “It’s a miracle!” Then we all have sausage and buttermilk biscuits with grease gravy and sweet tea. πŸ‘πŸ‘Œ

      • LOL! Down here we like to treat biscuits similar to the way we make burgers and chicken sandwiches. My favorite is biscuit with cheese, eggs and chicken fried steak…mmmm it’s a meal! Fortunately I don’t have high blood pressure or high cholesterol levels.. . YetπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜•

      • My doctor says that I don’t have high blood pressure because I have never tipped a salt shaker over my plate and never added salt while cooking. Truthfully, I don’t indulge much in the deep fried Southern diet. A sausage cheese and egg biscuit is a rare treat and many people down here are trying to eat better. We have a way to go yet! πŸ‘πŸ‘

      • We have a ton of Mom and Pop cafes and restaurants serving home cooking. My neighborhood Cafe, which I have nicknamed “The Clogged Artery” serve the pork tenderloin sandwich exactly like the ones A&W root beer stands used to make. They also serve, one of my favorites, fried pickle chips called Piccolo’s… they claim and I’m not kidding… “the vinegar in the pickles cuts the grease in your bloodstream” making Piccolo’s a healthy choice over french fries… the owner also believes that “Jell-O created the blood clots responsible for his quadruple bypass surgery 2 years ago.” Think that over carefully before you react… to his “heart healthy menu.” πŸ˜’

      • there are two subjects that I avoid with blogging: politics and religion. any discussion as wot whether food is healthy or not constitutes a medical thingee in my view. anything that constitutes a medical thingee is part of or could be a part of the Affordable Care Act. The ACA is political and hence discussions on whether or not some food is healthy is political. therefore, discussions on food are whether or not it eats good. if it eats good, then I’m good with it.

      • LOL! was it Mark Twain or some other Wise Guy who said “we dig our graves with a knife and fork not a shovel?” … but I definitely agree with you… if we don’t talk about it …it can’t kill us. πŸ‘πŸ«πŸ”πŸ•πŸ¦πŸ§πŸ©πŸ°πŸ‘… mum’s the word!
