Looking out my window this morning

Yeh, it’s gonna be a wet one today.  Humid too.  I had to turn the AC on early to pull the humidity out of my place.  Ick!  I can stand the heat but I really don’t care for humidity.  Well, the rain is good for the garden.

Speaking of which, it’s back to making some organic bug spray to get whatever is eating up my bean and sweet potato plant leaves.

I think this is the part where you are to write something clever and witty about yourself. I’m solidly locked in middle age and content with myself. I love to travel to see and experience new things, new foods and new drink. I also like to cook and bake mainly because I like to eat. And I found out that I’m pretty good at both. I'm not a professional blogger nor do I want to be. I'll leave that to others while I'll kick back and post whatever suddenly pops into my brain. I'm more spontaneous anyway. And the rest we’ll just kinda sorta figure out as we go along. Feel free to leave comments or even just to say "Hello". Find me at: https://mnghostt.wordpress.com.

    1. let’s see ..
      1 gallon water
      3 tablespoons vegetable oil
      3 tablespoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons organic dish soap
Mix well and add to a sprayer. Spray the top and the bottom sides of the leaves.

it’s got to be organic soap. regular dish soap is too harsh and has chemicals that could hurt the plants. I’m not sure how the whole chemical process works but it seems to do a good job for me

      1. Oh, thank you!!! I like organic! And don’t spray my plants at all at the moment … I just let the snails and bugs have a feast … However, they have munched up most my winter vegetables, little buggars.
Definitely gonna give this a try 🙂

      2. I will! The first mission will be trying to find non-toxic dish liquid … I’ve been hunting for that for years, and the only one i can find is hellah expensive for like, a thimble full lol. I gave up … but have a new reason now 🙂
