We live in the Central Valley in California – Lilacs do not do well here. But I have one Lilac bush that I have been coddling for 8 years now, and it finally had a massive amount of blooms and smelled so delicious. Oh and my Wisteria finally bloomed this year too – 8 years ago we planted it, and no blooms. But what a glorious show this year. Beautiful photo of your Lilac!!!
I should start a WP tour where we do a weekly “Pics Where I live”. everyone who participates just takes a pic or some pics and shares a link. where we live may be boring to us but extremely fascinating to those who view.
When I was growing up we had a lilac bush in our front yard. It was my Mama’s favorite flower . I can’t grow them down here, it is too hot. Smell them for me too while you are at it 🙂
Aaahhh lilacs! Wonderful. “Pling”

My Grampy Pe-Paw puts Lilac Vegetal hairdressing in his hair and it smells like spring year-round. He gave me a 64 ounce bottle for Christmas.

ugh! I had problems in western South Dakota with roses. I finally got a couple yellow rose plants to grow and not die over the winter.
