Well, it’s that time of week once again and it’s time to take a stick and poke that squirrel powering up my brain. Let’s see what happens.
1. Skies in central Minnesota are a tad bit “odd” at times. I woke up this morning and looked out the front window to see clear skies. I went off to get clean and sparkly and smelling good and lo and behold we now have grey skies. Weird.
2. I’ve been watching the planter that I have (or “had”) my thyme in. I forgot to bring it in last Fall and the frost got to it. I wonder if it will come back this Spring? I’ve been thinking about it and it surely winters elsewhere so why wouldn’t winter here? Maybe our winters and frost are too severe for it. We shall see what happens. I can make the nursery run if I have to replace them.
3. After talking to #2, I’ve been thinking about making a herb box for outside so I can keep fresh herbs year round. This isn’t the land of eternal summer but there surly is some way to make this work. This is another project to research this year. There’s always something to keep my mind busy.
4. I unplugged my heated bird bath a while ago and it was full of slushy water this morning. I poured all that out and put fresh water in it for the Robins to dirty up.
5. Tomorrow is April Fool’s Day. What’s the funniest prank that you ever pulled or was ever pulled on you? The best prank pulled on me was I was to call Colonel Sanders at his home phone. Being in the Air Force and given the fact that we actually had a Lieutenant Colonel Sanders on base, I made the call. Then I found out that I had called KFC. Ha ha! Yeh right. I let the air out of his car tires to get even.
There ya have it for this week. Feel free to comment and/or leave a naughty limerick if you want.
The BEST pranks I ever pulled was to say I was going to pull a prank so Watch OUT! and then never did another thing. Keep ’em guessing if you can’t keep ’em laughing. ~~dru~~

Well once I did cover a friend’s yard with tissue paper toilet seat covers, hung ’em from the trees too. It looked GREAT. I helped stuff another friend’s VW full of crunched up newspaper (there wasn’t a newspaper stand left with a local copy of our paper, it took some $$) but I’ve never really pulled April Fools Day pranks. AND MY FRIENDS SAY “THANK YOU”. My dad liked salt for sugar but he never got me with that one. me

When I was in grade eight, I was the bell monitor. I would ring the bell for recess, lunch and at the end of the day. So when our teacher stepped out of the room for something, two of the really tall guys in our class set the clock ahead half an hour. So when it was noon by the clock it was really 11:30. When it was noon by the clock, I went out an rang the lunch bell. All the kids in the school got out for an early lunch and didn’t come back until the correct time. We had an hour and a half for lunch. The teachers weren’t too angry with us for that one.

write it down for posterity so your grands can one day say “Grandma was a hellion.”

I wasn’t a hellion, I just knew a good move when I saw one.

After talking to #2, I’ve been thinking about making a herb box for outside so I can keep fresh herbs year round. This isn’t the land of eternal summer but there surly is some way to make this work <—I want to put a window in that is glass shelves in it and sticks out like a green house. Can't recall the official name for it. My mind is still somewhat mushy.
Tomorrow is April Fool’s Day. What’s the funniest prank that you ever pulled or was ever pulled on you? <—a popular DJ here told everyone to put baggies over their phones handsets as the telephone company was blowing all the lines clean. Some people did!

I have a couple ideas but I need to do what Miss C calls “over analyze” it. LOL

I’d like to do this but the damn window is $1,800

I have a window like that over the sink. worst buy I ever made. having one in the wall would have been better but it’s pricey. I’m thinking something outdoors. I just hafta research it.

I’d like to turn some of my screen porch into a green house. I love fresh herbs.

that could be easy enough to do just by building simple frames and using nylon screening.

Ha ha! Number 5 is hilarious! Happy Friday Jim! I used to prank call people and say stupid things. One time I gave this guy I didn’t like a fish candy. I’m not sure if it happened on April Fools.
