I think this is the part where you are to write something clever and witty about yourself. I’m solidly locked in middle age and content with myself. I love to travel to see and experience new things, new foods and new drink. I also like to cook and bake mainly because I like to eat. And I found out that I’m pretty good at both. I'm not a professional blogger nor do I want to be. I'll leave that to others while I'll kick back and post whatever suddenly pops into my brain. I'm more spontaneous anyway. And the rest we’ll just kinda sorta figure out as we go along. Feel free to leave comments or even just to say "Hello". Find me at: https://mnghostt.wordpress.com. 23 degrees C in the shade here in Spain, no breeze, 31 degrees C in direct sun. Probably no more rain till November now. As from 2 years ago, the met office here announced summer officially lasts for 9 months of the year! (Based on the start and finish of the temperature never dropping below 20 degrees C)
Next couple of months will be a steady rise to 36 degrees C in the shade for several months, then a gradual drop starting late September / October.
36 C in the shade means anything between 45 C to 50 C in direct sun. some days are off the scale, (above 50 C in the sun).
We´re acclimatised now, even so, suntan spray is required all over, gallons of water, sun caps / hats and of course sunglasses! (Even need the latter in winter)
I have a little saying: “Follow the rules of the sun and the sun will look after you, don´t do so at your peril.” It´s true.
Even non heated swimming pools turn into a warm bath, as does the mill pond called the Med… Smug? Dam right!

I was surprised how warm it was there in October. I am used to cooler temps in Central Europe at that time and packed accordingly. Boy did I pack wrong. Still I love Spain.
