Throwback Music Saturday #108: The Eagles – I Can’t Tell You Why

Hope you can view!

I think this is the part where you are to write something clever and witty about yourself. I’m solidly locked in middle age and content with myself. I love to travel to see and experience new things, new foods and new drink. I also like to cook and bake mainly because I like to eat. And I found out that I’m pretty good at both. I'm not a professional blogger nor do I want to be. I'll leave that to others while I'll kick back and post whatever suddenly pops into my brain. I'm more spontaneous anyway. And the rest we’ll just kinda sorta figure out as we go along. Feel free to leave comments or even just to say "Hello". Find me at:

  1. Interesting choice . I always believe people posts songs for a reason whether it is consciously or subconsciously but then again I could be full of BS 😀 I also believe these kinds of songs are written based on the songwriters personal experiences. Anyway, moving right along here….

I really wanted to analyze the words to this song, but will keep my mouth shut except to say that doesn’t sound like any sort of relationship I would want to be in only because I am old and have been through those sort of relationships and that is not love, blah blah blah blah blah.

    Ok, I’m gone 😉

    1. see I think it’s a story about real life relationships since people don’t come with instructions. it talks to the mistakes you find in real life relationships and then finally are you just gonna give up or get back in there and try to make things work.

but then again what do I know. 🙂

      1. Ha! Yes, I think you are right, and I think at my age, I have learned that giving up is better because moving on keeps one from wasting too many years going backwards on something that is never gonna work out LOLOL.

But like I said, I could be full of it, so who knows.
Although there is something to be said for being alone without all the drama 😉

  2. Hadn’t thought of this song in years, THANX. I once saw the Eagles as the opening act for Jethro Tull in Vegas. That was about 1970 or 1971 and the first time I’d heard the Eagles. They became such a part of my life for awhile. ~~dru~~
